Formed during their graduate studies at Western Michigan University, Sara Araujo Gutierrez and Lessly Altamirano - O’Leary bring together the rich musical traditions of Mexico and Ecuador. Pianist Sara, from Mexico, and flutist Lessly, from Ecuador, discovered a shared passion for creating beautiful and innovative music. Their collaboration blends their diverse cultural backgrounds and classical training, creating a unique and captivating sound that resonates with audiences.
Through their performances, they explore and showcase a wide range of repertoire, including works by underrepresented composers, highlighting the richness and diversity of Latin American musical heritage.
